You can add tasks you plan to work on during your Pomodoro sessions. This is optional, but can help you keep a more organized track of your activities.
Set the time for each Pomodoro interval, the frequency of breaks (how many Pomodoros you want to break), and the duration of each break. Customize these settings according to your preferences and needs.
Click the Start button to start the timer. Focus all your attention on the assigned task until the next Pomodoro interval is completed.
When the timer reaches the end of a Pomodoro interval, take a break based on the duration you set. Disconnect for a short period to recharge.
Repeat the cycle of work and rest until you have completed the specific task. The app will continue to guide you through Pomodoro intervals and breaks until you finish your work.
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the 1980s. Its name is derived from the Italian word "pomodoro", which means tomato. The method is named so because of the tomato-shaped kitchen timers that Cirillo used during his university studies.
Divide your work into time intervals called "Pomodoros." A Pomodoro typically lasts for 25 minutes.
During each Pomodoro, concentrate on a specific task without distractions.
After completing a Pomodoro, take a brief 5-minute break. After completing four Pomodoros, take a longer break of 15-30 minutes.
Keep a record of your Pomodoros to evaluate your productivity and make improvements.
Phe Pomodoro technique promotes concentration and prevents procrastination by breaking work into manageable blocks.
By setting time limits, you can enhance efficiency and avoid mental fatigue.
Regular breaks contribute to maintaining a healthy balance and reducing stress.
You can adjust the duration of Pomodoros according to your preferences and needs.
Hi, I'm Michael, the 18-year-old creator behind this website and M-Focus, my implementation of the Pomodoro Technique. I started this project as a way to hone my programming skills after a break and take on the challenge of building something new. I frequently apply the Pomodoro technique in my study and programming sessions, inspiring me to develop my own tool.
Originally envisioning a simple countdown project, I found myself driven to incorporate additional features such as break times, task management, and customizable settings. This expansion significantly prolonged the development timeline, compounded by my limited weekly hours—sometimes as little as one—due to work commitments and other responsibilities.
I'm excited to announce the completion of the project and plan to continually enhance it with features beneficial to users. Additionally, I aim to develop other projects catering to students' productivity needs. Thank you for choosing M-Focus!
